OUR ORGANIC VINEYARDS
Federico Perdisa follows in the vineyard the path taken by the founder Luigi from whom he inherited the passion for viticulture, innovation and environmental protection. He maintains a 360° approach that involves the use of natural and innovative phytosanitary products based on clay, volcanic rocks and diatoms to replace copper. For maximum respect for nature he uses biodegradable oils and greases for agricultural machinery. Much more than what is required by the organic certification, official from the 2019 harvest. The control of cochineal and other harmful insects occurs with the use of antagonistic insects. Weeds are eliminated through frequent mechanical processing of the soil. All the main operations in the vineyards are carried out manually, starting from winter pruning and up to the harvest.
The plants are high density, 5500 vines per hectare, and occupy a surface area of 15.50 hectares with espalier training and spurred cordon pruning according to the Simonit&Sirch method.
THE CELLAR
Careful manual selection of the grapes before pressing, spontaneous fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperature, refinement in amphora, cement and wood for the most prized wines are some of the cornerstones of our way of working.
For Federico Perdisa, organic is not just a certification but a production and life philosophy.
