Le Armi - Romagna Sangiovese Riserva DOP

Le Armi is produced only in the outstanding vintages by the harvest of the best Sangiovese grapes, which is usually performed in the second half of September, after an accurate work of reduction of the grapes in the weeks preceding the harvest.

The grapes are exclusively grown into the vineyards of the property “Palazzona di Maggio”, into the DOC Colli di Imola region.

The making involves a temperature-controlled maceration and fermentation, and a post-fermentation skin maceration.
The maturation takes place into toneaux oak barrel for 24-30 months.

Tasting notes and food pairing - Romagna Sangiovese Riserva DOP

Color: Intense ruby red.

Aromas: Complex bouquet of cherry jam, plum chutney, floral notes with hints of tobacco and chocolate

Taste: great structure and intensity, balanced by an outstanding acidity. Round and smooth finish, with a long peppery aftertaste.

Pairing: paires well with structured tastes, such as “lasagne alla bolognese”, all kind of grilled and tasty meat. Simply perfect when slowly tasted alone.
